Music is an important part of worship and community life at Christ Church. Whether you sing, ring bells, play an instrument, or are just beginning to learn, there is a place for you to share and grow in your gifts.
Adult Choir
Our Adult Choir helps lead worship at the 10:00 AM service. Rehearsals are held Sunday mornings at 9:45 AM.
Bell Choir
Our Bell Choir rehearses most Thursdays at 6:00 PM during the school year and participates in worship throughout the year.
Kids Choir
Our Kids Choir gives children an opportunity to sing, learn, and participate in the life of the church. Rehearsals are held most Thursdays at 7:00 PM during the school year.
Instrumentalists and Vocalists
We welcome instrumentalists and vocalists who would like to share their gifts in worship. If you are interested in participating, contact the church office and we will help you get connected.
Music Lessons
Our Music Director, Joan Alvear, offers private lessons in guitar, piano, and violin. Joan has extensive experience teaching music, including working with students with special needs.
Lessons are available for students ages 7–97 and are held in the church music room.
- Lessons are 30 minutes long.
- Students provide their own instrument for practice, either owned or rented.
- Lesson books are purchased by the student.
- Annual registration fee: $25, payable to Christ Church.
- Lesson fee: $30 per lesson, or $25 per lesson for church members, payable to Joan Alvear at the beginning of each month.
