Below are the Faith Challenegs for the first and second week of Advent:
Week One Theme: In the Time of Herod, God is breaking in.
As we begin Advent, we remember Zechariah’s story — fear met by God’s gentle words:
“Your prayer has been heard.”
Here are your two faith challenges for this week:
Sometime this week, speak or write down one fear you’re carrying.
Then pray these words:
“My prayer has been heard.”
Let that truth breathe hope into your season.
Each day, notice one moment — however small — where hope interrupts fear.
A kind word. A quiet pause. A bit of peace.
Write them down and watch how God breaks in, even now.
Advent begins in the dark… but God is already moving.
Week 2: “When We’re Running Out of Hope, God Is at Work”
This week, we’re leaning into a hope that doesn’t always feel steady — a hope that trembles, questions, and keeps going anyway.
Here are two simple ways to practice that kind of hope in the days ahead:
Each day, name one small place where you notice God at work — a moment of kindness, a bit of healing, a spark of justice, a breath of peace.
Glimmers keep hope alive.
Pray each morning:
“God, help me trust that You are at work, even when I cannot yet see it.”
Choose one place in your life that feels like a wilderness and trust that God is forming a new way there — even beneath the surface.
Advent invites us to look again, listen again, and hope again.
You are not alone on the journey.
